CIVETTA Dining Chair
Bespoke Oak, Walnut or Cherry Carver by Sebastian Blakeley
The Civetta Dining Chair, also known as the Barn Owl, is a proud and elegant piece of furniture suited to stylish interiors.
Emerging from the same creative era as his celebrated Antìlope, Toro and Màntide designs the Civetta is defined by its poised form and refined craftsmanship. With its curved front legs echoing the puffed chest of a barn owl, this chair brings grace, strength and comfort to luxury dining rooms.
Inspired by the Barn Owl - Poise, Wisdom and Strength
The Civetta’s design draws directly from the elegant stance of the barn owl. The sweeping curvature of the front legs suggests the proud chest of the bird creating a distinctive organic profile.
Evolution Of A Classic Design
Since the very first design concept the Civetta has been refined through careful design evolution. Early prototypes have been perfected to achieve structural integrity, practicality and exceptional comfort all without sacrificing artistic expression.

Classic Handcrafted Materials
Each Civetta chair is individually handcrafted in Devon using your choice of European Oak, North American Black Walnut or American Cherry. Every timber option offers its own distinct grain, colour tone and has been carefully by Sebastian’s trained eye.
Aluminium Leg Detailing
The chair’s legs are precision-crafted in aluminium, available in powder-coated or polished finishes. The metal element adds both structural strength and visual contrast to the richness of the wood.
Comfort, functionality and Presence
The Civetta Chair is more than a distinctive visual statement; it is designed to be extremely comfortable for extended dining. Its proportions and ergonomic shaping make it equally suitable as a dining chair or carver, bringing both visual balance and functional support to your setting.
